Meet Our Management Board

Caledonia is run by a voluntary Management Board.  The Board play a vital role in setting out our business plans and priorities and makes important decisions about our policies, services and activities. The also ensure that we are a well governed organisation that complies with all legal and regulatory requirements and achieves good outcomes for our customers.  

The Board holds six business review meetings and three forward planning “strategy” meetings during the year.   Copies of minutes of our Management Board meetings are available to view in the “Our Documents”  section of the website.  

We have a Group Audit & Risk Management Committee, which oversees our control systems, risk management and internal audit reports.  We also have a Group Remuneration Committee, which establishes and reviews staff terms, conditions and remuneration and a Group Development Committee, which supports the Governing Bodies in the Group in the discharge of their duties relating to the appraisal of new build development projects and the oversight of committed and pipeline projects.  All Committees consist of four appointed Management Board members and a representative from our housing partner, Cordale Housing Association. Our Board Members come from a range of backgrounds and provide a wealth of knowledge, experience and skills to support all aspects of the work that we do.

Allan Jones

Allan was elected to the Management Board in September 2021 and was appointed Chair in September 2024.  He previously served as Vice Chair and Chair of the Group Audit & Risk Management Committee.  Allan also serves on the Group Development Committee and Group Remuneration Committee.

Allan is a Council Transformation Programme Manager with over 25 years’ experience in the social and private housing sector.  Allan is experienced across a range of frontline housing services and is a former Board member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Derek Robertson

Derek was elected to the Management Board in September 2020 and became Vice Chair in September 2024.  He has been a member of the Group Remuneration Committee since October 2023, having previously served on the Group Audit & Risk Management Committee.

Derek has over 30 years senior management experience working in the UK Charity Sector, having led six charities as Chief Executive.  Now managing his own consultancy, Derek has significant experience in business development and organisational development, particularly in assisting charities and not-for-profit businesses tackle the challenges of transformational change.

Douglas McLaren

Douglas was elected to the Management Board in September 2020 and has been Chair of the Remuneration Committee since September 2023. 

Douglas is a Deputy Director for NHS Performance & Delivery at the Scottish Government. 

Katherine Burke

A tenant of Caledonia, Katherine was elected to the Management Board in September 2021 and has served as a member of the Group Audit & Risk Management Committee since October 2021. Katherine also represents the Management Board on the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee.

Katherine has a wealth of management and problem-solving experience working within the technology and digital transformation sector.  Katherine also volunteers for a mental health charity. 

Anne Culley

Anne was elected to the Management Board in September 2023 and has been Chair of the Group Development Committee since January 2024.  Anne is also represents the Management Board on the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee.

Anne has worked in housing for over 35 years, initially with a development corporation and from the early 1990’s, Housing Associations. She has extensive Housing Association Governance experience and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Murdo MacKay

Murdo was elected to the Management Board in September 2023 and has served on the Group Remuneration Committee since October 2023.

Murdo is an experienced HR Director with over 25 years of experience in working with boards & executives in a range of organisations during all phases of growth and times of change. Most recently he worked with Windlogix, his own consultancy, Harris HR Consultancy, and Cairn Energy.

Margaret McLay

Margaret was elected to the Management Board in September 2023 and has served on the Group Audit & Risk Management Committee since October 2023 and the Group Development Committee since January 2024.

Margaret is a well respected, motivated leader with a wide range of experience across both financial services and utilities, gained from a number of IT and business change roles. She was previously Director of Technology and Transformation at Scottish Water Business Stream and in various leadership roles in Tesco Bank.

Keri-Ann Osfield

Keri-Ann was elected to the Management Board in September 2023 and has served on the Group Audit & Risk Management Committee and Group  Remuneration Committee since October 2023

A highly motivated and versatile finance professional with 17 years of experience in financial service, asset management, life insurance and financial technology.  Keri-Ann has held a variety of senior roles and is currently the Head of Finance at Multrees Investor Services Ltd.
